Strengthening Global Ties: Nanjing Tech University Delegation Visits TU Dublin
In a celebration of international collaboration and academic excellence, TU Dublin had the honour of hosting a distinguished delegation from Nanjing Tech University. This pivotal visit marked another milestone in the evolving 18-year partnership between the two universities and showcased TU Dublin’s cutting-edge facilities, dynamic academic programmes, and commitment to global engagement.
The day began at the Synergy Centre on TU Dublin’s Tallaght Campus, where the delegation was warmly welcomed by staff and students from Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Sciences programmes. An engaging reception led by Stella Browne, Global Liaison Manager, TU Dublin, provided the delegation with an opportunity to interact with students across these programmes, who shared their academic experiences and research insights, offering a vibrant picture of TU Dublin’s educational environment.
Following the reception, the group embarked on an immersive tour of the university's advanced laboratories, allowing the delegation to explore the Pharmaceutical Plant and Cleanrooms, delving into the groundbreaking research and state-of-the-art equipment that exemplify TU Dublin’s dedication to innovation. The visitors expressed admiration for the university’s hands-on approach to education and its alignment with industry standards.
After an insightful morning, the delegation travelled to TU Dublin’s Grangegorman campus, where TU Dublin Interim President Professor John Doran greeted them. Over an informal gathering, the universities reaffirmed their dedication to fostering academic excellence and creating opportunities for students and faculty alike across Computing, Engineering and Pharmaceutical Science. This visit was not only a celebration of past successes but a launchpad for a future defined by collaboration, innovation, and mutual growth.
